Taipei Day 6 (14/03/17)

I am continuing Taipei Day 6, finally. It's our last entire day in Taipei, I was the last to wake up that morning because the boys are leaving earlier to the salon to get their hair wash and cut. So I took my own sweet time to get myself ready and went to get coffee nearby. I got them some ham and egg sandwiches too.
We had Sushi Express at Xi Men Ding and it was a 4 thumbs down. I guess we are lucky to have appetizing sushi in Singapore. Eg: Genki Sushi, Itacho Sushi .... It was superb windy that day so we were quite reluctant to leave the sushi building.
After lunch, we left to the near-by building for arcade.
We took the train to 台北 101 and took tourist shots at the open space. We were literally freezing and my teeth chattered so bad to generate heat, but I still want the out-door pictures. You can see from the photos we are the only crazy ones hanging out-of-doors.

Meet up with bi's family and friends and we went up to level 35 of Taipei 101. Starbucks here promises you a magnificent view, however you can only go up by reservations only.

You Need A Reservation Here, For The Starbucks With One Of The Best Views In The World.

Here are some rules:
– Time limit is 90 minutes.
– Dress code: No slippers or shorts.
– The number to call is +886 2 8101 0701.
– You need to call at least one day in advance.
– The minimal charge is NT$200 (SGD$9) per customer, you can use to get coffee etc up there)

When you get to Taipei 101, look for Door 7 or tell the cab driver the office tower entrance.Do not be late for the appointment. You will probably see a line at the lobby, and a Starbucks staff will appear at the appointed time with an attendance sheet. You will be issued with a number and do not lose that ticket.

While waiting at the office building lobby,

It's a blessing that day as we got to enjoy 1 for 1 drink. Hence, we used our remaining money to get burgers too. (I don't drink Starbucks in Singapore, forever thinking it's sinful)
I swore it's f* cold outside Taipei 101, yet we bravely want to take a group picture before leaving.
It's so chilly, look at them shivering. We hop onto a cab to our next destination after these photos.
It's the last night and we are back to 饒河夜市, how much love we have for this night market hahaha.
This orange lemon drink was good, when we want our second cup, we were lost and could not find the drink stall anymore. This night market is quite a long stretch.
Pros: This chee cheong fan stall is for the fans, it was even better than the chee cheong fan stall located same as the punggol nasi lemak. Cons: Long queue, small stall hence customers are crowding around.
Must try lamb soup in this night market, the meat was so tender. They have egg omelette, braised pork minced rice and other local delights too.
Not forgetting to visit our friend we met on day 2 for muah chee! We won her a little doggie key-chain as she's born in the year of it.
First day to sixth day, everyday was games day. We seemed to have better luck on our last day on this mahjong game that we played daily.

WU LAO GUO ELIXIR HEALTH POT TAIPEI

We had our supper at this marvelous hotpot restaurant, reservations are definitely required hence we went to the night market first and had our steamboat around 11pm. Our Singapore- Beauty In A Pot is inspired by this Taiwanese Wu Lao Guo. Interestingly known as "Elixir Health Pot". Thanks to Joey Tei that shared this restaurant at her instastory that day then we know about it. (She and her boyfriend was in Taipei too and we bumped into her at Xi Men Ding the day before)
Highly recommended place, we gave the food ingredients, ambience, hot tea and service full stars! Here's the key ingredient that gave the soup flavour- "tofu ice-cream", they are hardened before added to the soup. Totally mind-blown, how does ice cream not melt in the broth?

Wu Lao Guo may not be the cheapest hotpot restaurant in taipei, but it sure offers great value for money. The quality is generally more premium. We were almost broke on our last night and still, we must dine here!

So thankful for bi, to be there for me and helping to pack our stuffs accordingly and neatly into the boxes and our luggage. I can pack too but isn't it so nice and thoughtful that your boyfriend can do such things for us?I'm super thankful for you, bibi. I must have did super good deed in the past to have met you and be your girl. You just have to know you meant the whole world to me.
