Taipei Day 3 (11/03/17)

We came across Fong Da coffee place in the morning and settled for breakfast. The coffee has a strong aroma at the entry, bi and I love their bitter ice coffee that we drank it for 3 days straight. Xing and Neng are not so much of a coffee lover. Now, I'm missing itttt ......
A set meal for each of us. One set cost around $8. Not so cheap, but savory.
Toasted sandwich with ham and eggies,
It's my morning selfie again while waiting for my bread. Oh the weather that day was superb, it was not raining~
I guess by now most people should know that I am a real mysophobe (). It was so bad to the extend that I felt tired being so clean, sometimes. Hence, I need to find a clean restroom before I can do my business. Hmm yea, I don't feel comfortable shitting at our air bnb. It's clean, just that my brain is taking over my heart. So we are borrowing H&M restroom!

Did anyone realize the boys have different hair color everyday? It's colored hair wax.

So we took the train after filling and clearing our tum tum HEHE. Travelling time is phone time.
As mentioned earlier, day 3 will be games day at 淡水老街! I solely love this place in Taipei the most. It's not the food, shopping, toys but the backdrop. I've been there during the day and in the night as well, I love both setting it's very calming.
Before walking towards the crowd, this winter melon tea is zestful, the sugar and everything matches.
Who went to the ice-cream stall again???
It's my first time trying this and I like it. It's glutinous rice stuffed inside the boneless chicken wing. We only bought one to try and the boss willingly to strike a pose for me with his wings.
The water balloon game. Prize: world no.1 sword.
There will be more games stall during the weekends. During weekday, it's pretty empty along the streets except for the shops. I still prefer the crowd, the atmosphere with people make it exciting. The boys prefer going on weekday meh. WHERE ARE ALL THE GAME STALLS IF YOU ALL DID NOT WENT ON THAT SAT?

The basketball game that held only in the weekends.

Neng's fav totoro, he caught them everywhere in various sizes. Here's the mini fluffy one.

Ping-pong game that the boys find it addictive, just keep throwing. Oh that shop do not have attractive prizes, we just merely play for fun.

You can find shooting balloon game everywhere in Taipei, it's the basic.
The boys won this mini bolster for me. When they are in the midst of playing, I am already choosing the prize that I wanted.
More shooting games because the stall have alluring plushies.
Serious man is so serious.
Fried milk balls (炸鲜奶), a must try delicacy.
We saw the long queue. We are Singaporeans, so we queued.

The bouncy bouncy cake. Comes in original and cheese. It's really fluffy! Tasted like steamed egg cake (鸡蛋糕). $3.70 for the original, $4.60 for the cheese.
Good thing must wait. In this case, is this egg cake. No regrets, give it a three thumbs up!
Along the streets, there are many colorful things that caught my eye.
Kitty is my childhood friend as I am the only child in the family with lots of kitty's vcd bought by my dad when I was a kid ... Kitty makes me happy, even till today.
I find this Purin Purin key-chain so adorable, wanted to get it but I do not have coins with me at that moment :(
I must make my way into this shop whenever I am in 淡水. A must to spend money to get some snacks for my kitty lover friends too.
The stall where we bought our iron egg (铁蛋) from for our families and friends, the beautiful lady-boss and my dashing bibi with the colorful packaging of black eggs around em'.
Close to evening before we make our way to the night market, we saw 刮刮乐 tenants. The boys said that Singapore used to have it too. Look at Xing's thrilling face when choosing which one to "bet" with bibi, 确实两个鬼.
It's the year of rooster. So there are 5 "houses", you have to scratch rooster to win money. In my lucky slip, I have 3 roosters so I won $14. This slip cost $4.60 each. Calculate my winning haha. There are slips which has no rooster in it, so I am considered blessed. Someone got 5 roosters in a single slip, read my next few posts to find out who! Oh 4 of us are all born in the year of rooster :)
士林夜市 was super packed that day, it was swarming with locals and tourists. We could hardly walk, Xing love this night market as he bought an Adidas shoe and many facial products from there. He started shopping and spending just 20 mins upon reaching this night market.
We headed down to the basement to have our dinner.  士林夜市 is the only night market that have food stalls (similar to zi-char) at the basement, must visit and experience it at least once.
To be frank, I look forward to 士林夜市 because of  王子起司馬鈴薯 (Prince Cheese Potato).
I'm in cheese heaven.
 Cheesy baked scallops & oysters.
Bibi bought this cow tongue pastry (牛脷酥) and he is loving it. It's actually fried dough.
Hipster granny selling braised duck parts. Remember to find the correct stall where you can see long queue or spot the granny. Oh and I recalled this was not cheap at all.
You have to agree with me their plushies is so damn tempting right? We won Neng his totoro again. This time is a big one. Hmmm as for the purple bear in Toy Story, Xing borrowed it for picture purposes HAHA
Taiwanese are creative and are leading a simpler life compared to us. Elementary games like this make them enough money for the weekends.
So, we ended our day with .....
The ferocious snake soup!

The boss shared with us some of his "treasures" like this hemipenis of snakes. He will have no one to continue his business hence we decided to try it before it's all gone.
You will feel a slight burning sensation inside your body after drinking the 3 shots. They are the snake poison, blood and guts.
Bought a sky-lantern magnet for grandma before all the shop closes. It's in her fav color too.
We reached home later than usual that night, hectic yet eventful day. Here's our combined day 1-3 plushies!!
I spent nearly 4 hours blogging for this post. Stay close to Taipei Day 4 discover where we visited temple and ate the best 滷肉飯!
